A small practice, on purpose

Trauma is the work

Not a specialty tucked beside a general caseload. EMDR, ILF neurofeedback, play therapy and the Gottman Method are all in use here, every week.

Unhurried by design

The practice was built around the idea that healing from trauma shouldn't feel clinical or rushed. That applies to how clinicians work, not just to clients.

Actual colleagues

Five clinicians in one Kailua office, with a physical therapist involved in intensive work. Small enough that you know everyone's cases.

Who we are looking for

An active Hawaii license, or license eligibility, as an LCSW, LMFT, or comparable
Genuine interest in trauma work, and the patience it asks for
Training in EMDR, play therapy, neurofeedback or the Gottman Method is welcome, and we will support you in adding one
Comfort being one of a handful of people rather than a name on a large roster

Supervision

Clinical supervision

This is a paid service we offer to clinicians outside the practice, not a route into a job here. Book it the same way a client books an appointment.

Supervision hours

$150per hour

Disciplines covered

Play therapy. Toward the Registered Play Therapist credential, with Rachel Whipple, LCSW, RPT-S, a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor.
Marriage and family therapy. Toward LMFT licensure.
Clinical social work. Toward LCSW licensure.

Booking

Supervision is booked through our client portal, the same one clients use. Choose a supervision appointment rather than a therapy appointment.

Before you book

Check what your board or program requires of a supervisor, then tell us which discipline you need and where you are in your hours. If we are not the right supervisor for you, we will say so.
