Meet the team

Rachel Whipple, LCSW, RPT-S

Rachel Whipple is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of clinical experience helping clients navigate and heal from trauma. She holds specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), play therapy, and the Gottman Method.

Rachel works with adolescents and adults age 14 and up, and her clinical focus is trauma. She is passionate about helping clients process difficult experiences, build resilience, and rediscover a sense of safety and connection — both within themselves and in their relationships with others.

Rachel creates a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore, process, and grow.

Rachel believes that healing is possible for everyone, and she is honored to walk alongside her clients with compassion, skill, and care. As a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S), she also provides Play Therapy Supervision for clinicians working toward their own RPT credential.

Janina Martin, LCSW

Born and raised on Oahu, community well-being is very important to me. Helping others gain a sense of relief and calm in their day-to-day life is a part of the work I do which I find to be most fulfilling.

As a licensed clinical social worker, I work with youth 15 years and up and adults across the lifespan who are experiencing symptoms such as depression, grief, sadness, pain, and a wide range of diagnoses which accompany anxiety and stress.

I provide a type of therapy called ILF Neurofeedback which can assist in reducing a host of symptoms and assist in the calming of the nervous system. This form of therapy can be helpful and complimentary in combination with other therapeutic approaches.

Initially, I will assess what you are experiencing and then work with you to come up with a protocol which is unique to your symptom profile and individual needs. Neurofeedback is non-invasive and has been shown to have a wide range of positive effects.

Chris Flores, LCSW, MSW

Constant stress, hyper-vigilance, and anxiety can leave anyone feeling stuck in "survival mode" — making it difficult to stay fully present in daily life.

Navigating trauma, life transitions, and complex stressors is exhausting, especially for those accustomed to being the strong one in high-pressure environments. Whether facing the everyday pressures of life in the islands or carrying the weight of service to country or community, having a safe, non-judgmental space to pause, drop your armor, and share a story is vital to lasting wellness. Healing is a collaborative journey — one where your unique story, values, and inherent strengths guide the process.

My practice is rooted in a blend of clinical evidence and cultural understanding. Utilizing trauma-focused care alongside CBT and solution-focused strategies helps clients transition out of survival mode and into meaningful, centered living.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) holding a Master of Social Work, I've spent years on the front lines of crisis intervention. I bring a calm, patient, and culturally grounded presence as a Pacific Islander and veteran with a deep crisis background — my goal is to walk side by side with people working through life's toughest seasons.

Tara Flores, LCSW

I am a compassionate therapist with experience in the local community and hospital settings, where I have worked with individuals and families across the lifespan. I support clients navigating anxiety, stress, family dynamics, chronic and acute health conditions, grief, burnout, and major life transitions. I have a particular interest in supporting caregivers, who may face complex challenges while caring for loved ones.

I also enjoy working with individuals in high-pressure, performance-driven environments, including athletes at all levels. Being in this kind of role can sometimes bring a lot of pressure, which may show up as performance anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, or difficulty giving ourselves the same compassion we offer to others. Therapy can provide a supportive space to slow down, gain perspective, and reconnect with what matters most to you.

My approach is collaborative and integrative. You are the expert in your own life, and I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel understood and supported. Together, we can identify your concerns, explore practical strategies for managing challenges, and address the deeper issues contributing to your experience.

I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and biofeedback, tailoring treatment to your needs and goals. My hope is to help you feel heard, gain insight, develop effective coping skills, and move toward meaningful change to improve your quality of life.
